About the artist

Barbara Taylor has studied marine mammals for over 40 years and brings her awe of the natural world to her artwork.  She retired as biologist for the National Marine Fisheries Service but continues doing conservation science. She has reinvigorated her artistic endeavors.  This site has limited selections on the gallery pages.  Although most are privately owned, some are Available by contacting Barbara and can be seen on the Available page.  The Colorful-style pages include several different styles from fauvist to a new style that combines the transparency and color of watercolor with stylized motif of woodblocks.
